Hypertrance, as requested by VXΛ(VolteXhrosiA)
The Genre I managed to get was beautiful, the softness of Trance music, filled with the nostalgia of late 90s, early 2000s music. Atleast, that is what I ended up focusing on, when I learned about the genre.
As the nostalgia part was a big part, I ended up adding a DnB -like section reminiscent of that time. Additionally parts of the song are intentional callbacks to other songs, I wonder if people will remember them.
I hope my vision of "Hypertrance" does reflect the genre properly, even if I personally feel like it has accidentally drifted a bit more into "TranceCore" than "Trance", then again maybe the fast BPM nature of this genre is to blame for this.
As a sidenote...
It's been 12 years since GENRE-SHUFFLE 1, hasn't it?
I remember it like yesterday, sneaking off to the computer room at school, to watch all genres being pulled during a livestream broadcast was exciting. Sadly I didn't know what a "halfstep" was... or how to find info on it, but I still tried to make something.
It's been over 10 years since that "Noise"... way back then, and hearing the announcement of a new GENRE-SHUFFLE made me want to join again, just to see how much I have improved since then and if I could handle a random genre.
I think I have learned quite a bit about making music since then, but I still want to learn more and improve my craft...
Maybe in the year 2036 I will join GENRE-SHUFFLE 7, wwww.
