Hello! This is a cover I made of the classic 1970s country song "Rose Garden", one of my favourite songs of all time. It was originally written by Joe South, and made famous by Lynn Anderson.
I'm not very good at making country music, so I decided to perform it in a disco style, while trying to maintain some of the country flavour of the original. Hopefully, the addition of a dance beat adds new dimensions to the bittersweet sincerity of the original!
For my parents' generation, this was a classic karaoke song, so for the BGA I made it in the style of an old karaoke video.
